slacking off...

KONBANWA...

well.. not going to complain about workload again.
HAHAHA. finally realised that there's no point in doing that anyway. XD
So today, it's going to be about...

ermmmm. !!!!
THE LACK OF BOOKS TO READ.
LOL.

okay. to be MORE specific,
the lack of FICTIONAL BOOKS to read.

there's enough readings in school to drown me.
I NEED ENTERTAINMENT READINGS!!

maybe i should go try out another author...
provided that i have the time to go loiter around in kino. LOL.
it takes time to pick a book that you have interest in. (:
OR. maybe it's cos i'm more MONEY conscious these days. HUR HUR.

Anyway,
had a lecture yesterday.
on the topic of OTAKU. HEEEE.
this JUST sound like a topic i'm interested in right? LOLOL.
well, i did liked the Onmyouji lecture the previous week too though.
HAHAHAHA. got so tempted to read up all the mangas that had Abe no Seimei in it.
=X
in any case, the otaku talk was just AMAZING.
LOLOL. can't believe that it's actually my tutors master's thesis. LOL.
the difference in LEVEL is just THAT big.

I'm really interested in the "Moe Elements" part. LOLOL.
wonder just WHY those elements can incite excitement in someone... hmmm...
interesting right? XD
for eg.. spectacles, tsundere, cat ears (? well, at least not for me...) etc...
LOLOL.
seems that i'm really affected by the spectacles one too. LOLOL!
i'm NORMAL to be attracted to megane characters!
what a relief huh... XD

Code Blue's coming to an end too...
haven't watch the last episode though.
can't really bring myself to FINISH it. HAHAHA.
OHH. i'll miss Aizawa. and surprisingly... Tachibana sensei. LOL!

In any case.
hope that i'll be able to pass the dangerous looking next week safely.
HAHAHA. and then...
i'll be FREEEEE-er. -.-
better than nothing! HAHAHA.
best to be optimistic!

alrighty.
everyone just repeat after me...
"CHIAKI senpai's SOOOO HANDSOME!!!"
there... feeling a little happier? HAHAHAHA.
sorry if it was a little too random. HUR.

dream of handsome guys tonight!!~

Thailand...

HELLO!

read the newspaper today.
had this pretty shocking news about Thailand.
The errr... red camp(?) who supports Thaksin did a SUPER EXTREME stunt.
Splashing of blood donated by volunteers. -.-
It was a pretty.... disgusting scene.

The first reaction i had was...
"HUH. So waste blood... Don't they know that the blood bank is running low?"
LOL. pretty... singaporean huh. XD
but i think it's kind of a too extreme thing to do ler.
Talking about what blood represents life and so they're giving them up in support of their leader.
They even got an indian priest to curse the blood or something. =.=
Pretty crazy in my opinion.

Think most people are going to shun Thailand even more now...
What a bad thing to do for the economy. LOL.

Oh well,
i'm not really in the position to critise or whatever.
just thinking that why can't a prime minister in Thailand last for more than a year?
LOL. they're being overthrown really fast.

In any case,
waiting for the day that Thailand will be safe again to tour.
LOL. miss the shopping there. XDD

Luck...

Konbanwa...

watched inglorious bastards yesterday.
HAHA. at GV Grand. which, is at Great World City.
It was quite an "adventure" for me des and jeremy to get there.
LOL.
anyway, the moral of the story...
is RESEARCH THE ROUTE BEFORE GOING SOMEWHERE UNKNOWN.
yes. that's it.
HAHAHA.

Oh. about Inglorious Basterds.
Hmmmm. how it say.
I LOVE brad pitt inside there. HAHAHA.
his ACCENT was great.
SUPER HILARIOUS.
but the story came across as pretty random for me.
LOLOLOL.
cant really shake myself off the "true" situation of WWII.
The power of education. LOL.
well, it was a fun watch though. XD
A comedy yet... pretty exciting. HAHAHAHA.
totally showed how SCARY SS was. HUR HUR.

finding hard to find a book that appeals to me these days..
wondering why...
maybe i should start reading non-fictional books already...
BUT...
the readings in school are.... non-fictional enough. =.=
and gosh.
reminds me of the never ending projects. -.-
oh well..
let's just try to forget about it.
LOLOL. shall learn how to cope with it later on. XDD

to be truthful,
i'm actually pretty glad that i took the einstein mod last sem.
HAHAHA. learned a lot from it.
the best thing is,
i can actually really understand what some of the storyplots are about when watching animes or mangas. XDD
Quantum mechanics, parallel worlds, black holes....
it's actuall pretty commonly mentioned in mangas and animes.
HAHAHAHA. and now i can actually REALLY understand what they're trying to say. XD

Get Backers is a GOOD example. HUR HUR.
Re-reading it after taking that mod clears up a lot of confusion. HEES.
that's why,
re-reading stuff is never a bad thing. XD
just that 39 volumes are really a little too much to re-read. HAHAHA.
well, some point in time,
i'm sure that i'll pick it up again. +D
when i miss ban-chan and gin-chan. HEEE.

well then....
shall get back to confronting reality...
HAHAHAHA.
I wonder, will my future be different if i choose to escape?
who knows right.
all i know is, it's still more important to view life through a positive lens.

the hand of breaking stuff

お久しぶり~

these days,
the things around me keep breaking.
i have ABSOLUTELY no idea why.
and it's all those things that NORMALLY do not break, break.

My necklace broke just this afternoon...
My spectacles broke just nicely into half...
EVEN MY BED FRAME BROKE.
just last night.

What a luck i'm having these days. HAHA.
it's not common to have so many HARD TO BREAK stuffs breaking consecutively.
oh well, i'm starting to think of it as having some sort of 挡灾 purposes.
HUR HUR.

anyway,
these days have been thinking quite a lot about Representations of War on films.
haha. it was a pretty interesting topic.
somehow during the tutorial we keep deviating from the main topic,
and went into a discussion of whether the Japanese were aggressors in WWII
gained quite a lot of new insights though.
till now then i realise that what we've been studying during secondary schools,
are actually kinda biased. LOL.
well, it was after all from the point of Singapore, who was a victim of WWII.
so hmmmm.... in any case,
it was pretty interesting. HAHA.
maybe i should go visit Hiroshima and the Yasukuni Shrine someday.. XD

The last lecture on popular culture in Japan was also pretty interesting.
LOL. although it was pretty... OPEN in a sense. haha.
Talked about "okama" or "onee" in the Japanese media.
Well, loosely translated would be transsexuals or cross-dressers.
Apparently there's this super famous program in Japan called the "oneeMANZ"
It a variety show whereby "Onee"s will be displaying their skills and teaching the audience how to do stuff like make up, ikebana and hair styling... i think.
It's really intriguing to see how they are so popular..
even though it was widely acknowledged that masculinity hegemony runs deep in the Japanese society.
things are sure changing fast...
hahaha.
and i'm really interested in the "soushoku-kei" in Japan nowadays.
HAHAHA. or in english terms, known as the grass eating males.
LOL. Japanese sure are able to come up with all these weird terms. XD

Anyway, go take a look at IKKO-SAN.
he's like the MAIN guy in OneeMANZ now. XD

Gender is a highly discussed topic these days. HAHA.
getting more interested in it too. XD
Sociology really DO provide new ways at looking stuff. (:

Think this must be the MOST serious post i ever made.
HAHAHA. no longer that random.
HUR HUR.
in any case,
hope that i'll post again soon!

Just a LAST NOTE:

SUMMER WARS IS A MUST WATCH. GOT IT?
