Just went for the interview yst and received the call today! 早すぎる！

But of cos, I'm not complaining. Haha!
Saved me from 2 weeks of hell. (;^ω^)

In any case, guess I'll most likely be accepting it.
Although my parents don't seem really happy about it...
Keep harping on how I'll lose out on my cpf, how the pay I'm getting is too little for working overseas, how I won't be able to save, yada yada yada... -_-

Still, I think I'm just too lazy to go through the whole motion of looking for a job already, LOL!

It's still gonna be a long time before I start work and so!

This nasty feeling

I wonder what's wrong with me this semester.

Have I really changed that much in that one year stay in Japan?

I seem to have a serious problem in being unable to trust myself that I am producing something which is of SOME QUALITY.
Okay. Confidence issues I guess.

What a bad time to have this problem when I'm trying to readjust back to NUS.

Want to just hand in whatever I've done,
but can't seem to be able to forgive myself for doing that.
(or maybe I'm just afraid of the consequences)

Still, I'm sick and tired of feeling this way.
Is this what people refer to as being stressed out?

If it is so, then I can safely say that I finally understand what being stressed feels like.
It's just really, the bad type of stress in my opinion.


Guess things will eventually return back to normal.
I'm missing the dear old optimistic me.

New Discovery today! :D

Found this anime titled Bakemonogatari.
Quite an interesting anime.

Only watched the first episode but it has totally captured my attention.
The style reminds me of The Girl who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars.
Japanese myths and superstitions seem to be the main theme of this anime.

In any case,
a nice break from the usual ones I guess. ^^

And well of course, it's not as if I can understand the poem totally but, the words used are just so emotionally provocative. but I guess it's hard for someone who doesn't really know what happened to feel it the way I need though. THE STORY MATTERS.

Samurai Deeper Kyo

RAHHHHH.

Me need to vent a little frustrations.

A super trivial thing.
But it's making me very irritated. =.=


Went to watch Samurai Deeper Kyo anime...
I should have just stuck to the manga!!!
Okay. The manga is like freaking awesome, and the anime..
sad to say but I hated it.

Well, got to see how cool Kyo is animated but...
T.T I hated the way the anime came up with it's own story on the relationship between Kyo and Kyoshiro.
AND THE ENDING!!!!
My gosh. What kind of ending is that?!?!?!

This ending ranks number 2 on my list of "worst ending for anime/manga".
ROAHHHH.
Of cos it isn't as bad erhm Shaman King erhm, cos it actually ENDED.
But haaaaa...
feel so tired just thinking about it....

3. I finished translating the Maou series interviews!! *yay!* So proud of myself. LOL!

So today,
August 19, 2011 is an (almost) perfect day for ME!
HAHAHA.
Well, it would have been PERFECT (like super perfect) if not for the fact that I'm down with flu. =.= unable to even tell whether I'm having fever now or not. =/
Ma ma ma ma.. still,
it doesn't make me feel down or anything~ LOL.

yesterday, (despite me being half dead from the flu) we manage to go catch Gantz Part 2! YAY! In Singapore! LOL.
Actually watched it in Hiroshima during the internship program. XDDD
My very first movie in Japan was GANTZ: PERFECT ANSWER!
Watched it alone too.. Fangirls are just amazing huh... LOL.
Of course, that time when I watched it in Japan, there weren't any subs.
So I actually didn't really understand everything.
And yesterday's session cleared all my doubts! ^^
so happy.
LOL.

Natsu Matsuri 2011

Time flies!!!

Seriously.


Natsu Matsuri's coming saturday.
SO FAST RIGHT?!
Somehow I keep feeling like I've just been to it not too long ago.
LOL.
Maybe the next thing I know I'm like already in Japan going down to Tokyo for the Hanabi event~ ^^ will be SOOO MUCH FUN. LOL!
But that'll also mean that I'm going to come back to Singapore already.
HAHAHAHA.


I haven't missed Natsu Matsuri since I came to know of it in JC 1 (i think).
It's actually really nothing much..
but I just enjoy wearing my yukata and well, doing the bon odori. HAHAHA!
And of cos!
I enjoy the 2 hours slaving over how-to-wear-this-freakin-yukata! too. :DDD
It's just... very enjoyable. XDDD
And I'm able to like just wear it out and flag a taxi along the road. XDD
Remembered how PS i was when I first wore it.
Refused to step outta house for a moment. XDDD
What nice memories... :DDD


Now thinking of a way to bring my yukata over to Japan.

Recently, I find myself fantasizing too much.



What I'll do when I reach Japan.

What if there's a super shuai and cute guy there.

Will I get lost while trying to cycle to school there?

If I get lost, how? Call police? LOL. Or maybe just stalk some random stranger and hope that he'll bring me out of the maze. =/

What will I do if I get Arashi's concert tickets? (Bet I'll like cry and laugh at the same time... go crazy for a while then start disturbing all my friends about it.)

This afternoon, I was taking a shuttle bus to Tampines with my mom.
Well, I didnt manage to get a seat and got pushed all the way to the back of the bus.
Having nothing to do, I stood there and stoned.
Soon enough, my mind drifted...

AND THEN.
I thought of this clip where Aiba was like so embarrassed over something he said and covered his face with his hands, smiling sooooo shyly behind. (*melts~)
That put a super big grin on my stupid face on a bus filled with strangers.
Haaaa...

BUT, i felt so ridiculously cheered up from that. (even in that stinky crowded bus)


Something that I'll never understand.
How can I feel so happy just by seeing some 5 guys through a screen.

Singapore just celebrated her 46th birthday!
YAY!! *throws confetti*
Not sure how long it has been but, this year, I've actually sat in front of my TV and finished the whole parade! ^^ Can clearly see the difference in this year's NDP as compared to the previous years.
The whole presentation of it feels different. For good or for bad.

The CG effects for the stage was amazing.
The way the 4 races were portrayed was amazing. VERY INTERESTING in fact.
The musical's story line, albeit cliche and overly nationalistic (imo), is well, acceptable. The singing was pretty good. Never expected Sharon Aw's singing to be that good. Well of cos I know that it was just lip syncing. LOL.

The only problem that I have with this year's NDP is...
Why are there no other classic national day songs being sung?!
Can't help but feel a little disappointed with that. T.T
was so looking forward to listening to Home and We'll Get There.....

Shall go search for the song and play it for myself. LOL!

XDDD What a.. cute and pitiful villain as the main lead.
LOL. He ranks high up in my list of "FAVORITE VILLAINS".

I love the minion language. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Left soon after Iron Man 2 started screening though.
Although I love Tony Stark's narcissistic arrogant character,
I'm thinking that it's way too overboard in Iron Man 2.
Of cos he got a reality check from the.. erm. bad guy later in the movie but hmmm.

Story goes like this...
1. A tutor asks us out for dinner/gathering after he returned from Australia&Japan.
2. Smses us asking when will be a good date. (Mon 15th or Thu 18th)
3. Seeing the "will be handing out omiyages" part of the sms, I got excited and replied "both are good (:".
4. A day later. I saw the Gantz Perfect Answer trailer and go "AH! I'm going to watch it on the 18th! Die... nvm, hope that they will decide to go for the dinner on the 15th."
5. THEN. comes today. Sms came in saying that dinner's decided on Mon 15th. And i go "wuah.. lucky." A few seconds later. "But eh? 15th sounds familiar." After more thinking... "DIEEEEE. It's my mom's bday!!!!!"
6. And so now. What should I do. Most probably, I'll just sms them on mon afternoon. and say "sorry, something personal cropped up. can't go for dinner." <-- BEST EXCUSE IN THE WORLD BTW (cos, most people will not stick their nose in and demand further explanation. esp when you make it sound serious. smileys and HAHAs are a NO in such smses. XDDD)

And so conclusion is.. it's really not a big deal. HAHAHAHAHA!

It has to the my most looked-forward-to news every season. HAHA!
Anyway, for coming fall season,
there's gonna be 3 dramas (rumored) to starring people from Johnny's~~

Firstly, the i've-seen-this-rumor-since-spring-and-gotten-disappointed-since-then-but-still-happy-to-see-this-rumor-SO-please-just-freaking-make-it-come-true drama rumor starring Sakurai Sho (yes. ♥♥) and Kitagawa Hiromi. Title's Nazotoki wa Dinner no ato de where our beloved Sho's gonna be a butler who solves mystery cases (O.O a too perfect character who's handsome and intelligent at the same time). LOL!

Secondly, a Nagase Tomoya + Mukai Osamu drama! *fireworks!!!* While nothing's been decided yet but this cast LOOKS soooo promising. LOL!

Lastly, Youkai Ningen Bemu starring Kame and (i think) AKB48's Ooshima Yuko. Hmm. another anime adaptation about 3 monsters in the human world. And from the comments that I'm reading, it seems that Kame's character is a green monster (O.O okay...), Ooshima's a whip-using-spoilt-brat monster who's supposedly Kame's sister. Well, there's quite a debate about this as, er.. well, kame seemed to be cursed with poor scripts and lousy storylines when it comes to drama and this anime.. doesn't seem to a really attractive one also. HAHA. BUT hey, who knows right. At least Kaibutsu-kun turned out well for Ohno.. HAHA! Heck, there's even a 3D movie coming out soon. Things might turn out interesting~~


Still, I really hope that the Sho and Nagase drama comes true~
It's be such a GREAT fall season if that happens.. ^^


OH. And today's August 8.
The supposedly let's-go-boycott-fujitv day.

Think I've actually found an inkling on what I'm planning for my thesis.
Well, it's still gonna be a long time before I ACTUALLY start on writing one.
But at least I have some aim right now. XDDD
(Why is it a good thing? Cos research is a ... well, irritating thing to do.)

the biggest news of today is not about that.

Is that my beloved Hunter x Hunter is back!!
(after like a.. one year hiatus.)
In any case, definitely hope that the author maintains this pace right now.
Stop being so wagamama and go into a hiatus every now and then. =/

Ah, right.
It seems that the new Hunter x Hunter anime in the coming fall season is not going to be a continuation from the Greed Island OVA.
According to the official website, it seems that they're gonna remake the whole anime from start~
Yatta!! 'Cos this means I get to see the Hunter test again~~~
I hope they include the Greed Island arc in this anime season too....
what a fantastic arc it was~ T.T

shall not comment on this tweet.
In case I get arrested for being racist or xenophobic.
All I really want to say is that,
it just freakin annoys me that people are consistently trying to label someone as racist or xenophobic.
I'm not saying that it's okay to be racist but how can one or two short statements on the net represent what the person really is like?
And I absolutely think that everyone is racist or xenophobic to some extent.
It's just a matter of how well we control and express ourselves.
But of cos, him being a public figure saying such comments...
it'll definitely cause public unrest. So hmmm, can't say that he didn't deserve this consequence.

HOWEVER, it's really those comments to the articles that are turning me off.
Those self-righteous comments on how Takaoka deserved it and how people should just accept that K-pop and K drama is more popular now. I mean, it's just wrong to throw such irresponsible comments thinking that everyone should accept what YOU are thinking.
What's with the "I'm a J-pop and K-pop fan so I'm not biased."? It's like. WTH? So those who are J-pop fans or K-pop only fans are biased? Seriously..
I think i'm like starting to understand how those professors felt when they were grading our papers. Baseless claims everywhere...
